Daniel Lee Buttram was born in Independence, Missouri to the late Reu Voye Buttram and Ellora S. Easley.
Daniel was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force. He served in the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict. Daniel worked as the assistant programs director with the NC Department of Correction at the Neuse Correctional Facility. He was a member of Walker United Methodist Church.
Daniel was a member of the Wayne County Amateur Radio Association in Goldsboro, NC. He was also a member of the Police Benevolent Association, the Veterans of Foreign War, the Sergeants Association, the Ruritan Club, the United Methodist Men’s Group, and the B-52 Gunner’s Association.
Daniel passed away on December 31, 2003.
