Millard Preston Sykes Sr., was born in Wayne County, NC to the late Nathan Eurie Sykes and Dora Strickland Sykes.
Millard served his country in the United States Air Force. He obtained the rank of Master Sergeant and was the recipient of the Master Missile Man Badge. After retiring from the Air Force he owned and operated Sykes Lift Truck Service.
Millard was a member of the Wayne County Amateur Radio Association in Goldsboro, NC. He passed away on August 19, 2003.
